Stay Warm. Read Books.

It's too cold and gray to do much today.  I've lit a fire in the fireplace and made my coffee.  The thing to do today is definitely read...

Just finished 'Bruce'.  To be honest, I skimmed over some of the too-many-details-about-the-music bits.  I've seen him in concert a few times and I'm interested to know what people are REALLY like.  This book delivers that - kind of.

I was really taken with Springsteen's description of depression.  To paraphrase "things can be going great and you feel like crap or things can be crap and you feel great".  Yep.

Looking for a boost of color inspiration I bought these two home decor books.  Love them both!

I know - old news.  I'm behind the times with this one but I never quite trust 'bestsellers'.  This was  interesting though and I have his other books on the way from Amazon.

You'd think that this massive door-stop of a book would at least slow down my cookbook buying obsession but I know it won't...

I always have something involving English history on the go.  Always

Getting this out to re-read today.  In April we'll be visiting a friend in Cornwall who has read the book four times (not sure how many times I've read it but I think I was just getting started at four - I'm a pretty bad geek that way) and is going to take us to see the magical sites...

Keep warm.  Read on.
xoxoMary

It's too cold and grey here to do anything pretty much every day. Ha ha. Your book choices look interesting. Except I'm too lazy to read history. And hubby is a history teacher. Needless to say, he doesn't get to chat about it with me. ;) Jo

Well, I read mostly historical novels so I'm not exactly an academic - I just hope to maybe learn a little lol!

Well the snow here is more than I have seen since my childhood in Canada! I look out at my lovely snow covered Garden and dream about my Glorious, Colorful, Beautiful Flowers and Herbs sleeping under the 20ft of snow. Luckily I just received probably my 5th copy (bought it soooo many times, moved too many times) of Scott Cunningham's Encyclopedia Of Magical Herbs. Still my favorite Herb Book. I envision all my Magical Herbs in my Garden just waiting to awake! 29 days 10hrs 4minutes 50 seconds till Spring and counting!
