The Little Things...

You know that saying about appreciating the little in things in life because one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things.  As a very grateful type of person I already know this and appreciate MANY little things.

Something I love is clean clothes on the clothesline outside.  Simple and practical - yet beautiful...

 Beautiful wind power!

Love!

One end of my clothes line pulled out of the tree - so I'm thinking, is the tree sad that I attached something to it? Going to think of another way to hang out my laundry now.

Hmmm, I wonder about that tree... I have the metal umbrella type of clothesline because of such a small yard. I'm pretty sure having a clothesline is a subversive act in suburban Houston...

They are all like prayer flags...

As long as they are not hurt, the tress are happy to help!

I do miss being able to hang laundry out on the line to dry and have that fresh air scent. Alas, here in the desert, the Sun is usually too hot and fades things quickly and it's too dusty so you risk them getting dirty all over again! *le sigh* So I try to buy fabric softners that I can pop in the dryer that smell as though they were air dried in a Meadow! *winks*

My favorite day of the week is "Clean Sheet Day". The only thing that can make this day more special is fresh off the line clean sheets. Oh, and a nice cup of tea and a good book and comfy jammies. :)
