How Rich is Rich Enough?

So, it's been a good year for the rich.  I'm assuming EVERY year is pretty darn good for the rich but this year has been even BETTER...

The very wealthiest Americans earned more than 19 percent of the country's household income last year—their biggest share since 1928, the year before the stock market crash. And the top 10 percent captured a record 48.2 percent of total earnings last year.

Really guys?  I know we always hear about Bill Gates giving lots of money away but he still seems to have quite a bit...

There are still lots of places where a little money would go along way.

Why would ANY one person on this planet need so much more money than any of the others?

How much STUFF could you possibly want?

I heard someone speaking on our local Pacifica radio station the other day saying that, unlike, say, the French Revolution,  technology today makes rich people untouchable.  They control it all from behind the curtain of computers and corporations.

It reminds me of "The Handmade's Tale" by Margaret Atwood.  One day all of the women's bank cards simply don't work anymore.  And it's downhill from there...

What kind of revolution do you suppose we need?

We need a political revolution. Where the corporations money can no longer buy politicians. Laws to keep them from greasing the hands of those that make the decisions.Laws to put a cap on how much can be taken from the Earth and the powerless for profit and the sake of the "economy".
