I'm so happy today for Anderson Cooper! Anderson "came out" in an open letter you can read here.
As I've said before, Anderson Cooper holds a special place in the hearts of people who come from New Orleans. He didn't just report Hurricane Katrina, he really felt it and continued to long after other news people had moved on.
I remember when my mother first explained 'gay' to me. I listened intently and then said, "oh good, another kind of love - I don't think there's enough love in the world.".
Anderson Cooper is an amazing role model for young people. If he can also be a role model for young gay people and help them realize 'it gets better', then I'm celebrating!
You go girl.
